Hello Humber Valley families,
It’s been a great start to 2023 with very busy practice, game and tournament schedules. I’ve had the pleasure of getting out to watch a number of our teams, from our youngest Tim Bits to our U18 All-Stars, and it’s been incredible to see the development across all ages and skill levels. I have a number of exciting updates to share this month.
2023 Shark Attack Tournament
February 23rd to 25th, Canlan Etobicoke
Our annual Shark Attack Tournament is quickly becoming one of the premier tournaments for U7 to U9 teams with multiple tiers giving balanced competition across all age groups. We hope all our teams have a great time at the tournament and show off their Humber Valley sprit! If you’re able to, please come out and cheer on our Sharks! Go Sharks Go!

Coaching Development Update
We have had a tremendous response to the Coaching Development Program launched earlier this season with Dan Nicoletti as Director of Coaching Development. On and off-ice programs have been running covering a range of topics. We have started the process of evaluating how the program can evolve in future years and we appreciate all the great feedback we’ve received so far. We encourage anyone that has feedback or ideas to let us know by emailing us at info@humbervalleyhockey.com.
Parent Feedback
For our competitive teams, the late winter and early spring can be a challenging time with upcoming playoffs, tryouts and uncertainty around what next season may bring. We would like to remind everyone, in all age groups and levels, that there is always an avenue to provide feedback – anonymous or not – on your child’s program, team, coaching etc. by emailing info@humbervalleyhockey.com or myself directly at rbitove@humbervalleyhockey.com. We value the input of all Humber Valley parents and players and want to make sure that Humber Valley remains a place where everyone has a voice. We take all feedback seriously.
