A & AA level hockey for players aged 9 and older
Starting at the age of 9/U10, players can choose to tryout for one of our A or AA teams. The goal of our A/AA program is to develop players for success in both hockey and in life. Central to our program is teaching the values of respect, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork while players grow their skills, have fun, and make lifelong friends.
We are proud to announce that we will ice 18 Sharks teams in 2022-23 – one at each level, A & AA – across all age groups from U10 to U18. Our Sharks teams compete in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) – the largest minor hockey league in the world.
GTHL Competitive Season Structure
In 2021, the GTHL has announced a new competitive season structure for all age groups moving forward. The season will now be broken out into phases providing more structure and development time for players.

2021-22 Prep Sessions & Tryouts
Per the above calendars, tryouts for our U12 to U18 AA teams are targeted to begin on September 17th, with A level tryouts beginning a week later on September 24th. U10-U11 tryouts will begin September 20th to accommodate a prep phase administered, and executed by the GTHL. Players in these age groups will register for sessions based on the tryout level they intend to participate in. PREP sessions are not mandatory. Pre-registration will be required.
