Goals of the Junior House League Program:
- Fun: Our number one priority is to ensure that all players have a safe, positive and rewarding introduction to hockey and build confidence along the way
- Development: Our program meets all Hockey Canada Introduction Program/U5 to U9 requirements and is structured to maximize player development, focused on the necessary skills at every development stage
- Teach fair play, cooperation and sportsmanship

What your player will get:
- Saturday primary ice slot for the 2025-26 season is at Long Branch Arena
- 20+ professionally taught/run skills sessions combined with fun game play situations led by the expert team at Stride Hockey – Leading Hockey School focused on skating and skill development for young players. Highly qualified volunteer coaches will also be on the ice supporting the hockey school staff to ensure a safe, fun and motivating environment
- 5 Sunday game days for U5
- 8 Sunday game days for U6/U7
- 9 Sunday games days for the U8/U9
- 10+ outdoor sessions to have fun and enjoy what they’ve learned!

- Mid-Year Tournament & Year-End Festival
- Goalie Skills Program for interested goaltenders – more details to come on timing and location
- Ongoing communication on your child’s development
- Use of lighter pucks and size appropriate nets in U5, U6 & U7

- Year end event and award
- Eligibility to play for a Sharks Competitive Development Team
Jr. House League program runs weekly from late September until the end of March. Schedules are released in September and will be communicated through TeamSnap.
