March at Humber Valley
It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the end of the 2025-26 season. As league play wraps up and playoffs begin for our GTHL, MHL, and Select teams, we’re also looking ahead to a number of exciting year-end events and celebrations across our association. There’s a lot happening over the next several weeks, and we have plenty of updates to share this month.
Jr. House League Year End Festival
Our Jr. House League Year End Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 4th from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at CWENCH Centre.
The day will be a fun celebration to wrap up the season and will include:
Mini tournament-style games for each age group
Food and drinks
A fundraiser raffle benefiting a local charity
Humber Valley swag
Year-end medals for players
Exact timing for each age division will be posted in TeamSnap this week.
Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. We’re looking for high school students interested in earning volunteer hours to help out. If you’re interested, please contact: apennanen@humbervalleyhockey.com.
CDP Update
Our CDP Festival Weekend will take place April 9-12, marking the end of another great CDP season.
The festival will bring together all CDP teams for a weekend of fun, games, and friendly competition. U9 teams will play in a competitive format featuring round-robin games followed by playoffs, creating an exciting finish to the season.
Tryout dates for the 2026-27 season are upcoming. U8 and U9 will be posted on our website soon, but are tentatively scheduled between April 20 and May 1. U7 will occur in the fall.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
GTHL Update
The Greater Toronto Hockey League regular season wrapped up earlier this month, and we want to congratulate all 42 division champions across the league, including:
18 ‘A’ Champions
16 ‘AA’ Champions
8 ‘AAA’ Champions
A total of 24 different associations captured at least one title this season. The Leaside Flames, Toronto Marlboros, and Vaughan Rangers each won four championships, with the Humber Valley Sharks close behind with three titles.
Congratulations to our U10A, U14A, and U15AA Sharks on their 1st place finishes and Pro Hockey Life Cup wins!

With the regular season now complete, teams across the league move into playoff action. We wish all participating teams the best of luck!
Shark Attack Tournament Recap
Our annual Shark Attack Tournament returned February 20-22 and was another fantastic weekend of hockey at Humber Valley. This year’s event welcomed 48 teams and more than 700 players, creating an exciting atmosphere both on and off the ice.
Congratulations to our Sharks U9 T3 team, who captured the division championship, a great achievement on home ice! 🏆
A huge thank you to Caitlin Evans and Grant Henderson for their incredible work organizing the tournament once again, as well as to the many volunteers who helped make the weekend such a success.
Sharks Award Nominations & Banquet
We’re excited to introduce a new tradition for the 2025–26 season.
Humber Valley is launching three community-focused awards that recognize the spirit, leadership, and positive impact that make our Sharks community so special. These awards celebrate players and bench staff who consistently go above and beyond, both on and off the ice.
We’re also grateful to Duke's Source for Sports, our Community Awards Sponsor, whose generous support helps make these awards possible.
Nominations are now open, and we encourage players, parents, bench staff, and teams to participate.
🏆 Winners will be announced at the Sharks Awards Banquet on April 11.
