Sharks Awards Nominations


Dear Humber Valley Families,


We’re excited to share a new tradition for the 2025–26 season. Humber Valley is introducing three community-focused awards that recognize the spirit, leadership, and impact that make our Sharks community so special, and celebrate the players and bench staff who consistently go above and beyond, on and off the ice.


We’re also grateful to Duke's Source for Sports, our key Community Awards Sponsor, whose generous support helps make these awards possible and ensures we can celebrate excellence across our association.


Nominations are now open, and we encourage players, parents, bench staff, and teams to participate. Winners will be announced at our Sharks Awards Banquet on April 11th!


Impact Award


The Humber Valley Impact Award celebrates the individuals behind the bench who shape far more than gameplay. This award honours the Coaches, Trainers, and Managers who elevate their teams through leadership, mentorship, and culture-building - those who create an environment where players grow with confidence, character, and a true love of the game.

Open to: All Humber Valley Sharks bench staff, Coaches, Trainers, and ManagersAward:

  • Humber Valley Bench Staff Kit: Helmet, gloves, and jacket

Team Community Contribution Award


The Humber Valley Team Community Contribution Award celebrates the power of teamwork beyond the scoreboard. This award recognizes Sharks teams that embody leadership, sportsmanship, and community spirit - groups who unite to make a meaningful impact both at the rink and throughout the Humber Valley community. These teams remind us that hockey is at its best when it brings people together.


Open to: Humber Valley Sharks Teams, U10 to U18

Two Awards Presented: (1) U10 to U14 & (2) U15 to U18

  • 3 hours of Ice: May be used in the 2025-26 or 2026-27 season ($1000 max value)

Individual Community Contribution Award


The Humber Valley Individual Community Contribution Award honours the players who lead with heart - those who contribute to their community, inspire their teammates, and help grow the game through their actions on and off the ice. This award recognizes young athletes who demonstrate character, commitment, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.


Open to: Humber Valley Sharks players, U10 to U18

Two Awards Presented: (1) U10 to U14 & (2) U15 to U18

  • $1,000 Grant

  • Fully Custom Bauer Hockey Stick (valued at $400) courtesy of Dukes and Bauer

Celebrating Our Community Together


We are grateful for the continued generosity of our long-standing community partner, Duke's Source for Sports, whose support plays an important role in bringing these new awards to life and helping us celebrate the players, volunteers, and teams who make our community so special.


The nomination form is now open, and we encourage you to recognize those who have truly gone above and beyond this season. Nominations will close on March 15, so we invite all members of our community to submit before the deadline.


We look forward to celebrating with all of you on April 11th.
